We support our people too; all training, learning and development is fully paid.

Our learning pathway

Six-week Foundation Course

This unique introduction to Thistle and our approach to person-centred support focuses on developing human relationships and practicing important relational skills and competences when working with people. It’s a paid induction course and you will be offered a role with us upon successful completion. Find out more.

Person-Centred Principles into Practice

A course designed to deepen your knowledge of person-centred practice when you have worked with us for at least a year and completed all your initial training. It focuses on the craft of person-centred support and aims to develop your skills in understanding self, coaching conversations and making a difference through your work.

SVQ Accreditation

We will fund and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.

On completion you will more than meet your conditions of registration with the SSSC and will have secured a qualification to support your future career development.
