Our volunteers give so much – and get so much back.
Volunteers are a huge part of our community. By sharing their time, their talents and their energy they help us to make a real difference to people’s lives.
But it’s not a one-way street. Our volunteers are rewarded with the opportunity to develop valuable skills and experience, meet new people and feel great about the role they have played in our community.
We have volunteers active in every area of our organisation - fundraising, our main office, leading Tai Chi classes and organising community walks - highlighting the unique skills and interests people bring.
‘With thanks to the European Social Fund and The Scottish Government, we have launched our new Aspiring Communities Project. This project focuses on engaging EH15 – EH17 residents with self-management either through our services and groups, those of our relevant partnerships in the area, or through volunteering opportunities.
Our hope is that local residents will be equipped with tools and skills to help them self-manage their long term health conditions, and leave their footprint on the development of their local community!
If you are interested in volunteering and you live in an EH15, EH16 or EH17 postcode, click here for opportunities in the Aspiring Communities Project.
