About Thistle Learning

Thistle is a leader in the health and social care sectors, as well as the voluntary and independent sectors within Scotland, in inspiring and developing best practice among people and organisations.

Thistle supports over 200 people with long term conditions, disabilities and additional support needs every day and this directly influences our training and consultancy practice.

We know that good training and learning is rooted in practice.   

We work with everyone – from front line staff to managers, to strategic leads, to families and individuals – to develop culture and practice around personal outcomes and asset based approaches. Thistle has delivered work in partnership with the Scottish Government, JIT, NESS, the Alliance (Scotland), NHS boards across Scotland and more.

We work throughout Scotland to create bespoke programmes that encourage and develop best practice in health and social care – and that mirror the Thistle approach to supporting people.

We believe that, irrespective of professional discipline, there exists a core set of values, principles and good conversation skills that enable a focus on what matters most to people and what they want to achieve from support.
