Thistle hosts launch of Scottish Government's Keys to Life strategy

Today Thistle hosted the launch of the Scottish Government’s Keys to Life learning disability strategy for Scotland.

Catherine Dempsey, National Development Lead for Young People’s Work for Thistle said, “We’re delighted to have worked with Scottish Government in their process of developing this strategy and welcome its launch. At Thistle Young People, we work alongside disabled young people so that they can find their future direction after school and live the life they want.”
At the launch Clare Haughey, Minister for Mental Health said "The Thistle Foundation do invaluable work to support people with disabilities."
She also commented, "Scottish Government's Keys to Life strategy recognises that people with disabilities have a right to have aspirations and to have expectations for your future.
What's important to you should be at the heart of everything you do."
