What the service does well
We found that this service is excellent at supporting people who use the service in discussing issues important to them and looking at ways to address them. It has a clear commitment to service user and carer involvement in all areas of the service and has developed many initiatives in order to ensure that involvement. The service has systems in place to support people into employment and realise their potential in the workforce. The staff in this service have a range of skills and experience which they use to provide individual support for the people who use this service. The service provides good Induction training for staff and the opportunity for attaining a qualification in Person Centred Approaches.

What the service could do better
The service has plans to develop Circles of Support training for staff and help individual people and their families to develop their own Circles of Support. The service could consider developing the Contract of Agreement in alternative formats.

What the service has done since the last inspection
The service design tool which involves the person being supported, their family and their staff team is currently being implemented in all teams. The organisation has developed a new Contract of Agreement which clearly defines how to change or end the service.
The organisation has developed a Citizenship Strategy which outlines targets and outcomes for citizenship and includes initiatives to ensure that the views of people who use the service are heard and contribute to overall development of the organisation.

Conclusion
The service continues to build on its already excellent performance in helping people who use the service to be as proactive as possible in the way they receive their care and support.
