Adult Protection Resources

Everyone has a right to lead a full life.
But no one should have to face harm alone.

Welcome to the resources created from Altrum’s project with Stirling University.

Working Together - Report Front CoverThe background

Between 2010 and 2011 a group of people who access services provided by Altrum organisations worked in collaboration with Altrum and Stirling University staff to research the views of disabled people.

The research was around what they wished professionals to take into account when they were concerned someone may be at risk of harm.

Especially in the context of the Adult Support and Protection Act (Scotland) 2007.

Research findings

We have a suite of documents including reports, information leaflets and planning tools around harm.

We also have a suite of video resources which give further information on the research and provide resources to inform training on Adult Support and Protection issues.
